American soldiers have been trading blood to buy time to end foreign oil addiction since 1991. Eight Presidents declared foreign oil addiction a direct threat to national security. Oil-dollars funded the 9/11 terrorist attacks. It is past time to end foreign oil addiction. As this was written on Memorial Day 2019, the US was mortgaging children at a rate of $432 million per day to buy 7.2 million barrels of foreign oil per day.

Objective:

End foreign oil addiction by Memorial Day, 2022. Cut US oil use by 7.2 million barrels per day.

Execution:

  1. Federal support for slavery was ended in 3 years:
    • January 1, 1863, Emancipation Proclamation
    • December 6, 1865, Ratification of the 13th Amendment
  2. End Federally mandated foreign oil addiction in 3 years:
    • The States, not the Federal government, are sovereign over "internal improvements."
    • Enforce the Constitution's Preamble, post Roads, Ports, Necessary and Proper, Commerce, and Amendments 9 and 10.
    • Implement Divided Sovereignty as explained in Federalist #9, #10, #17, #28, #39, #45, #51, #62, and other ratification documents.
    • Implement 21 Presidential veto messages rejecting powerful Congressman from taxing all Americans for pork highway projects in their Districts and to their friends.
  3. Enforce anti-monopoly requirements in State and Federal Constitutions.
  4. Implement the 5x5 Standard. Governments must write written rejections of networks 5-times more efficient than existing government monopolies within 21 days of plans being submitted.

Situation:

We face civilization killers today that have a single root cause of unconstitutional Federal power and transportation monopolies:

  • Resource Depletion: US Peak Oil was in 1970. Life requires energy. Cheap oil is finite. Federal oil-powered highway monopoly condemns Americans to Oil Famine as oil prices rise.
  • Debt: Since Peak Oil in 1970, foreign oil addiction and Federal debt grew in tandem until the banking collapse of 2008 radically expanded debt. Debt is the tax on future labor. Federal debt mortgages the future labor of each child for $67,000 without consent.
  • Foreign Oil-Addiction: Despite calls by eight Presidents to exercise the self-discipline to be energy self-reliant.
  • Perpetual Oil-Wars: Securing foreign oil has required undeclared oil-wars since 1991.
  • Oil-Dollar Funded Terrorism: Oil dollars funded the 9/11 attacks, the nuclear ambitions of Iran, etc.
  • Climate Change: There is a Constitutional duty to defend Liberty for Posterity. Children can only prove the harms of Climate Change by its harm to their liberty. The burden of proving that burning fossil fuels causes no harm falls on the adults of today, not the children of tomorrow. As a secondary note, sloth is a sin and only a fool pees in his only well.
  • Oil Famine: Oil Famine occurs with a collapse of the capital required to sustain oil's long and complex supply chain. This occurred in Syria in 2010, is occurring in Venezuela today, nearly occurred in the US in Sept. 2008, and is likely to replay in the US before 2023.

Known Paths to War have been rebuilt byThe Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1916, 1944, 1956, etc.:

  1. Illicit Energy, dependence on energy outside self-reliance.
    • Federal support for slavery, depending on energy outside self-reliance, built the path to the Civil War.
    • Federally mandated highways since US Peak Oil in 1970 resulted in foreign oil-addiction and perpetual oil-wars since 1991.
  2. Taxation without Representation:
    • Parliament imposing taxes without representation resulted in the Revolution.
      • The Boston Tea Party was a demonstration against a government transportation monopoly that triggered war.
      • To preempt the Federal government from repeating the King's defect, an 8 state to 3 vote on September 14, 1787, specifically forbids Federal taxing to build highways and canals.
    • Debt is the tax on future labor. Debt beyond 19 years certain repayment is a tax on the labor of children imposed without their consent- Taxation without Representation.
  3. Transferring wealth from the Many to the Few:
    • The French Revolution is a good example of this.
    • Federal money printing and Quantitative easing since US Peak Oil created radial shifts in wealth from the many to the few:
      • The Haves: Those who own assets see them appreciate in value.
      • The Have Nots: The poor and the young, those who must trade their labor to buy assets see the value of their labor debased.

Happy Outcome:

Enforcing the Constitution in transportation and energy will have the same happy consequence as enforcing the Constitution in communications in 1982. With liberty to innovate restored, transportation and power will digitize with technologies such as Hyperloops, JPods, self-driving cars, scooters, and Uber.

  • Millions of jobs were created digitizing communications, replacing a century of rotary dial telephone under Federal monopoly.
  • Millions of jobs will be created digitizing transportation by replacing a century of the 25 mpg Model-T efficiency with the 400+ ton-mpg efficiency of freight railroads and the on-demand service of the Internet.
